Thank you to all the neighbors and candidates who attended the multi-organization sponsored forum for candidates for Multnomah County Chair, hosted virtually on April 5th, 2022. If you missed the event, you can view the video below or on our YouTube channel.

Each candidate chose a specific question to answer during the event and all candidates submitted written answers to every question asked by the group. See the documents below to read their unedited written responses.

The Multnomah County Chair is often an “under the radar” election despite the significant power and influence that this position holds in our local government. Our coalition has organized the forum to raise awareness of this election within our community in order to better inform their decision around this election. The forum will also offer an opportunity for the public to directly address questions and concerns to the candidates.

Today, November 3, 2020 is the last day to vote in the November 3 General Election. Ballots must be received before 8:00 PM tonight for them to count. It is too late to mail your ballot back, and postmarks do not count. Use an Official Ballot Drop Site to safely and securely return your voted ballot. Return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. Please return your voted ballot to the Official Ballot Drop Site closest to you (Google Map) to reduce congestion at other locations.

Ballots are continuously picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes by teams of sworn election officials throughout the day. These sites will close promptly at 8:00PM tonight. All 30 of Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites, including library locations, are safe and secure. Official Ballot Drop Sites in Multnomah County are listed below and at multco.us/dropsites.

It is Too Late to Mail! Return Your Ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site.

Voters return ballots to an Official Ballot Drop Box at the elections office from both the sidewalk and their cars.

Return your voted ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site. It is too late to return your ballot by mail. Postmarks do not count in Oregon. In order to ensure your ballot is received by the county elections office before 8:00 PM on Election Night, November 3 you must return it to any Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon. In Multnomah County, you can return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. Please return your voted ballot to the Official Ballot Drop Site closest to you (Google Map) to reduce congestion at other locations. Virtual Candidate Interviews

Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association (BDNA) is pleased to present three candidate interviews to help neighbors get to know their potential local elected officials. BDNA sent out requests to all candidates for Portland City Commissioner and Mayor and interviewed those who responded. Questions were developed from those submitted by neighbors via an online form. Virtual Candidate Interview Series for October 2020

Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association (BDNA) is hosting a virtual candidate interview series! Submit your question(s) for the candidates for Commissioner, Position No. 4 and Portland City Mayor. Questions will be combined into “themes” with as many asked as possible. Interviews will be posted publicly via our website and social media in early October. Question submissions close at 7:00PM on September 19th, 2020.

The U.S. Postal Service Has Begun Delivering Ballots for the May 19th, 2020 Primary Election!

Multnomah County voters who do not receive a ballot by Thursday, May 7th should call the county elections office at 503-988-VOTE. 

Multnomah County Elections encourages voters to stay home, stay safe and vote by mail. Thanks to prepaid postage legislation passed in 2019 — a stamp is no longer needed!

Multnomah County voters have until May 14th to safely mail back their ballot for the May 19 Primary Election.  After that date, use any Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon, to return ballots by 8:00 PM, May 19, 2020. To find your nearest official ballot drop site, visit multco.us/dropsites

Voted ballots must be received by 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19th. For more information about the May 19th Primary Election, please visit www.mcelections.org.
