To residents who are interested in becoming members of the board — we hold open elections before board officers are elected, which allows you to join the board and vote on officers.

Board members have voting power on event planning, budget planning, and more. Board members are responsible for attending 10 monthly meetings (about two hours each on the first Thursdays of the month; we do not meet in January or July) and offering time for the events that they can support. We aim to build and maintain a diverse and broad Board to distribute the labor and prevent burnout.

Residents who are not Board members but who attend meetings and offer their voices are deeply valued for their time, energy, and ideas! Even if you do not have time to give to regular meeting attendance, know that your voice matters and that we welcome your support with any events you are passionate about.
