Lane Middle School PTA Charging Ahead!”  

At BDNA’s February general meeting, PTA president Anna Cox introduced Lane Middle School’s very active PTA.  She described its mission, accomplishments, and more.  

What did the Lane PTA do during the last 12 months??

  • Held a student-run carnival.
  • Offered $100 grants to all who work with students (staff and teachers)
  • Maintained the staff room (cleaning, and supplying updates and treats)
  • Offered teacher-appreciation activities
  • Decorated front lobby for Hispanic Heritage and Black History months.
  • Organized and set up Lane Clothing Closet.
  • Held monthly dine-outs at local restaurants.
  • Held a family game night during strike
  • Organized a SOLVE neighborhood clean-up at Harney Park
  • Helped with school activities like sports and OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Book).

Membership is for “everyone who has an interest in supporting” Lane Middle School.  That includes parents, caregivers, families, teaches, staff, students, grandparents, neighbors, friends, community members, business owners.  You are all invited to join this dynamic group!
