2020-21 School Year Update from Woodmere Elementary School

Dear Woodmere Families,

We hope you all are having an amazing summer. As you know, Portland Public Schools (PPS) will be holding classes virtually through at least November 5. We want to make sure kids have everything they need as we get ready for the first day of school for our 1st thru 5th grade students, September 2 and our kindergarten students on September 8.

Though the building is still closed, we will be available to help get you and your child set-up for learning by phone or email during office hours beginning next week. Most days, one of us will also be outside at an Information table in front of the school to help with:

  • registration
  • chrome book exchange and/or pickup
  • wifi hotspot request
  • general information.

Please stop by just to say hi but remember: Masks and social distancing protocols will be in place during these times. Entry into the building will not be allowed at this time.

Look for an email and letter early next week to learn about class assignments and start of the year news. All teachers will be reaching out to meet students and families the first two week of school and distributing school supplies at that time. Thank you Schoolhouse Supplies for providing school supplies to our students again this year.

We are very much looking forward to talking with you and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and if we don’t know the answers right away, we will work to find the answers for you as quickly as possible.
