Many arborists will tell you that pruning is both a science and an art; the art of making a proper cut matched with an understanding of the tree’s biology and mechanics.

Learning how trees grow and how they respond to various pruning cuts will help you master common pruning techniques.

Portland Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry staff will host an online Advanced Pruning class on June 3, 2020; prior participation in an introductory pruning class is recommended.

Please pre-register, Zoom details to participate will be sent by email.

The workshop will begin promptly at 11:00 am with the presentation followed by a question and answer period.
