New gate access for Learning Gardens Lab across from Brentwood Park tennis courts!

Through student and community visioning and engagement, and support from Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association, the Learning Gardens Lab helped create a “threshold” at the site of our new gate during City Repair’s annual Village Building Convergence (VBC). Student leaders at LGL acted as social ambassadors for Portland State University’s ‘PSiloveU’ fundraising campaign to raise money for Pacific Fence Company and Portland Parks and Recreation to install our new ‘People’s Gate’, where we will be revitalizing our Brentwood-Darlington Farm Stand program. Community members are invited to join Village Building Coalition and other community members as they pitch in on Saturday, March 7th, 2020, 10:00AM-1:00PM to lay down a bark-chip pathway across this threshold.
