Help Mr. Stultz at Woodmere Elementary give his Unicycle Club students helmets!
Woodmere Elementary School offers unicycling to boys and girls in grades 2-5. These kids are awesome! They are hard working, committed and focused, often performing at school and neighborhood events. This great sport was introduced to them in a physical education class. Students gain confidence in their abilities and improve their skills. Unicycling is hard, helping students develop their perseverance, patience, and focus.
Many of the students wishing to participate in Unicycle Club do not have helmets at home and are unable to afford one. Students will earn the responsibility of borrowing a unicycle for the entire school year. Those who forget their helmet at home will be able to borrow one from school, ensuring that safety remains the top priority.
Students attend weekly practice and those that learn to ride earn a t-shirt and have the opportunity to ride in the Junior Rose Parade in June. They also are part of the school-wide performance in June.
