Flavel Park, located at SE 75th Ave & Flavel St, is a small park of 4.17 acres, located in the heart of Brentwood-Darlington.  Named for Captain George Flavel, a seafaring man who was active in early trade with Portland.  Flavel lived in Astoria and was the first pilot licensed to navigate the Columbia River bar.  Acquired in 1953, Flavel Park offers paved paths, a playground, and soccer field.  The park is open 5:00AM-Midnight and sports field reservations can be made by calling 503-823-2525.
