  1. Community Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday August 29th at 6:30PM at the SMILE Station (8210 SE 13th Ave).
  2. Errol Heights Park Open House event on Saturday, September 8th from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. Join PPR at SE 52nd Ave and SE Tenino Court for morning coffee and scones. Park Ecologist, Christian Haaning will be leading trail walks at two different times that morning.

Join Portland Parks and Recreation at Errol Heights Park (SE 52nd Ave and SE Tenino Court) for a Community Open House!  They are seeking neighbor input on two park designs, park programming and guiding principles.  The open house runs Saturday, September 8th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM and will include guided trail walks.  Refreshments provided.

Errol Heights Park Preliminary Plans

Below are the preliminary plans, as presented to the Errol Heights Park Citizen Advisory Committee.  Want to know more or ask about these plans?  Come to the BDNA All-Committees meeting on Tuesday, August 21, 7:00-9:00PM, at the Brentwood-Darlington Community Center (7211 SE 62nd Ave, 97206) and talk to the Portland Parks and Recreation project staff in person!  Portland Bureau of Transportation will also be present to discuss how their Errol Heights projects affect the park.

The Force is with Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association as we host our annual FREE Movies in the Park event TONIGHT! The droids you are looking for will be shown in Brentwood Park on July 27th at Dusk as we watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (PG-13). Come early and join the party as we rock out to local band The Mars Rovers. Music begins at 6:30PM. Bring blankets or low-back chairs to sit on. Pack a picnic or try some of the tasty dishes from onsite vendors.

Second Errol Heights Park Advisory Committee Meeting

Join the Errol Heights Park Community Advisory Committee at their second meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 6:30-9:30PM at Smile Station in Sellwood.

At this meeting, landscape design consultants will use the expertise and knowledge of the committee to refine plans to compliment everyday use of the site.  Additionally, the committee members will walk through a group exercise to explore site layout and types of park activities. Using mapped information and the Master Plan, the land scape design consultants will then develop design concept(s) to be reviewed by PP&R, the advisory committee members, and the general public at an upcoming open house in the fall.

Closure at Harney Park on May 11

From Portland Parks and Recreation: 

The playground at Harney Park, SE 67th Avenue and Harney Street, will be closed for use this Friday, May 11, for geotechnical work.  This work will inform the design work for drainage improvements at this playground. Construction for these improvements will occur in summerfall 2019. The nearest playground for use during this closure is Flavel Park at SE 75th Avenue and Flavel Street.

We are recruiting a diverse group of community advisors!

Are you interested in creating a new Errol Heights Park? Portland Parks & Recreation is recruiting community members for a new advisory committee to help refresh the vision for Errol Heights Park and guide a $5 million improvement project.

Errol Heights Park is located at SE 52nd and SE Tenino Court in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood. The new park will include areas for play, sports, picnics, and gardening.

Meetings and Schedule

The first meeting of the Advisory Committee is Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 7:00-9:00pm, at the Woodstock Community Center. The committee will meet 5 more times on weekday evenings in 2018. A light dinner will be provided, and TriMet passes and childcare will be provided upon request.
