Brentwood Darlington Neighborhood Clean-up and Picnic
Date:
Saturday, September 11th, 2021
Location: Brentwood Park (6550 SE 60th Ave), meet near the tennis courts
Time: 9:00AM – 11:30AM Park Clean-Up, 11:30AM – 3PM Neighborhood Picnic

Please join us for a park & neighborhood clean-up in the morning and party in the afternoon!
We will be meeting by the tennis courts & have coffee, water, snacks, some clean up supplies, and PPE donated by local healthcare union OFNHP and other neighbors. Consider bringing gloves and any clean-up equipment you currently have on hand. Sharps containers will available with help from SOLVE.

After the clean-up there will be a picnic for families to get to know each other. Please bring a lunch or buy food from It’s Nacho Problem, a local food cart. There will be a hot wing eating contest, and Mending Bloc will be there with mending kits and other knowledge! Music and fun for all!

Hosted by the admins of Brentwood-Darlington Connected Neighbors group. Please join us on Facebook if you live in the neighborhood. We’d love volunteers to play music or help out. Please reach out in the group with any questions.

Whitman Elementary Gets a Little Free Library!

Description: A brightly painted little free library in front of Whitman Elementary School.

Thanks to local neighbors Zoe and Jon Matych for Whitman Elementary’s Little Free Library!  Whitman students are really missing their school and public library visits and need new books to read.  Please drop by to take and add books.  If you notice any problems, email Chris.
