Free grocery delivery for TriMet Lift-eligible customers

Information from the Disability Program at Office of Community & Civic Life:

Starting Monday, April 20, 2020, current LIFT-eligible customers can get orders from grocery stores or food banks delivered to their front door by LIFT.

To use this service, place an order to be picked up with an eligible grocery store or food bank. Once the order has been placed, and a pickup time scheduled, please call LIFT Reservations at 503-962-8000 and book a trip to pick up the groceries at the pick up time.

Need a back up caregiver? The Oregon Home Care Commission can help!

From conversations we’re having with community members, we know that back up caregiving, especially last-minute back up caregiving, is a huge need right now: If your caregiver is sick or can’t get to you, what can you do?

We have been in touch with the Oregon Home Care Commission, and they are dedicated to supporting Oregonians to access back up caregiving when we need it. Please be sure to let staff know if you will need assistance contacting people on the referral list, help posting an help wanted ad or connecting with an potential worker.”

Portland Fire & Rescue’s Meds on Wheels outreach program is designed to offer community members within the City of Portland a prescription pick-up and delivery service of vital, life sustaining medications. The program is specifically geared toward community members 65 and older and those individuals with disabilities who desperately need life sustaining medications from a pharmacy but leaving their home poses a substantial risk to their health and the health of the community.
