Errol Heights Park on Stage in February 2020!

Special Guest from Portland Parks and Recreation at our February 6th, Public Board Meeting

 

George Lozovoy, the Portland Parks and Recreation project manager for renovation of Errol Heights Park, will go over the Land Use Notice and describe the park’s features: amenities such as splash pad, skate spot, stairways, picnic and playground in the upper level; accessible trails, slope restructuring, tree preservation, and beaver ponds in the lower, natural area; park access via new sidewalks on surrounding streets.  George will answer questions, remark on temporary trail closures, and provide a timeline for implementation of the renovation project.

In February, amongst other items, we will have a speaker from Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) who will explain the next round of Fixing Our Streets projects. This second round will require Portland voters to extend the ten-cent-per-gallon gasoline tax for four years,

Update to Proposed Meeting on Code Change 3.96

Code Change 3.96 Update from Office of Community and Civic Life: 

City Council will not vote on the multi-bureau resolution on January 30th, 2020 as previously tentatively scheduled. The Council is working on finding another date and Civic Life will send updates as soon as it has been scheduled.

While the Council Clerk is no longer accepting written testimony, if you have additional thoughts you would like to share, please send an email to Commissioner Eudaly’s office.

Community Conversations on Homelessness with Mayor Wheeler

Mayor Ted Wheeler is convening a series of meetings across the City of Portland for community members to learn about and engage with future policy related homelessness and livability.  Join Southeast and East Portland neighbors and local businesses on Saturday, February 1 for a conversation about what we can do to help solve the homelessness crisis.
